When streaming songs from apple music on an android device songs get cut off consistently 4 seconds before the end; according to the icon I guess this is when the next song starts buffering. This happens when listening to albums as well as radios and is quite annoying. This doesn't happen on iOS devices or Sonos.
Is this a known problem? Any way to fix this?

This answer is unhelpful, this has happened to me ever since I have used Apple Music on Android devices. Also these steps are not things people want to do it if it's a chronic problem. Especially to sign out and sign back in, that means that we will have to re-download all of the music that we had on our devices. Plus, the problem that I am having is that the songs are shortened, not just skipping the last little bit.
